
In a bid to save as much as $1 billion, layoffs at Research in Motion are imminent.
The Waterloo based BlackBerry maker has seen its shares plunge more than 70% since the last year. In the first quarter the company had announced of the layoffs of close to about 5000 employees, or about a third of its global work force. The job cuts are expected to affect the employees working in customer service, human resources, marketing and global repair services.
