A new type of console game is underway. Its called the Oyua, I hope I got the spelling right. Nope, it’s the Ouya. At present the Ouya project is only featured on the Kickstarter website in the hopes of raising money of close to about $1 million.

So what is the Oyua?

Oyua is planning on to be an open-source video game gaming console based on the Android system. And its going to be priced at $99 dollars.

Since its open source, the developers can actually totally mod it and hack it the way they want to.

While nothing is being spoken about what is the processing capacity going to be like, and the type of games this device will be able to play. At one point you also feel even though Oyua is a great idea, but hey, isn’t the Xbox already there for $99 dollars now?! And it can be pronounced easily too. Xbox 360 has indeed come a long way over the years. Even though Microsoft doesn’t really back you, when you mod the Xbox, but it still works great!
